MyoPur Media

MyoPur is a media that, when used with PurCell’s MyoPur Media Supplement, surpasses the growth performance of serum in cell culture. Both the media and the supplement are animal product free and chemically defined. The nature of the media virtually eliminates contamination potential and decreases variability between batches of product. MyoPur media is appropriate for use on all cells, but has been tailored to the unique metabolic needs of muscle cells. 

Each bottle of MyoPur Media comes with PurCell’s MyoPur Media Supplement. The supplement is a proprietary mix of lipids and bioactive molecules. 

Precautions

Only for In Vitro use.

Supplement: – 20°C before mixing, away from light. It is good for at least one year at this temperature. After mixing with media, refrigerate at 4°C, away from light. It is good for six months at this temperature.

Media: Store at 4°C, away from light. At this temperature, it is good for one year.

Keep in mind, once the supplement has been mixed into the media, the shelf life is six months at recommended storage temperature of 4°C.

Some of the signs of deterioration are as follows:

• pH change (as indicated by phenol red)
• Floating particles in supplement.
